As many others, we had plans to visit relatives out of town this Easter. But, because of the corona virus pandemic that did not happen. Either way, we managed to enjoy ourselves in the city with walks in the beautiful weather, all the while practicing social distancing and keeping safe through other measures as best as we could.
Oslo, Bjørvika is coming together nicely and is one of my new favorite city walks. I dreamt myself away and pretended to be in another city for a moment. The area is totally transformed since the last time I was here. I live close by, but even so, all the constructions have been keeping us away for some time. And, well, to be honest, taking walks has not been on top of our priorities’ list.
We dropped by Soho Urban Eatery for some breakfast a couple of times, too. We got up early and took advantage of the reduced crowds. Açai bowl and raw cake for breakfast, don’t mind if I do! Yes, before you ask, we kept safe and we were the only guests both mornings we were there. Easy-peasy to keep up social distancing, for sure. I believe in supporting the local shops as long as they’re open. Take-away and home delivery has also been a blessing this Easter. Giving us the feeling of dining out as well as staying home and supporting our local businesses, all at the same time.
I kinda still feel like it’s Easter, to be honest. Maybe we’ll keep some of the Easter spirit at home this weekend too? The leaves outside my window are coming along nicely as well – spring is finally here!
I hope you are well and in good spirit and health ♥︎
